Our first big purchases for B....ABY!

For whatever random reason, I decided to go online and look at my Target baby registry. The home page said they were having a sale (up to 20%) on select baby items. My first thought was to see if the baby furniture was on sale. I looked and of course, I picked pretty much the only crib set that was still regularly priced. CRAP! I was really hoping it would go on sale! Then I logged into my registry to check out what I registered for and see if I still wanted what I put on the registry and to possibly add or remove things. I noticed that everything on the registry was on sale. I figued out that I would save almost $70 on just the items alone. I talked it over with Matt and we decided that I would buy the stuff off the registry since it was on sale and everything could only be purchased online and not in stores. It wouldn't make it very easy for people to buy anything off that registry anyways if they had to buy it online. I know most people are like me and want to go in the store, see it in person, oogle over how cute it is and then purchase it.  Both my mother and mother-in-law had both said they will most likely give us money so if they still do that, we will just buy the crib, changing table, dresser and rocking chair and ottoman with that money. It doesn't really matter to us. We were totally fine with the idea of just buying everything ourselves but I know that baby stuff is fun and friends and family always want to buy something for your baby.  Anyways, it worked out even better than I had originally thought.  Shipping alone was $68 but they were having a deal with free shipping on orders over $50. They were also having another deal where you got $5 off a purchase over $50 and then the items were on sale. The discount on the stuff was about $80. So with everything being on sale, free shipping and
$5 off, we saved over $150!! If you know me at all, you know I love bargain shopping, using coupon codes, and saving money...even if it is only $1.

Anyways, I'm going to be a little embarrassed when we get the email from the 'concierge' desk about having packages to pick up. Normally we just walk to the front office and pick up our stuff. The order said it will be shipped in 4 separate packages. Some of the boxes will be very big. Good things Matt is really strong and my brother is here visiting as well! ha ha We will have to drive one of the vehicles up there to load the boxes. It's really no big deal but it's just kind of funny. The package pickup office isn't that big and our stuff with be taking up a ton of room in there!
So you're probably wondering....WHAT IN THE HECK DID YOU BUY?!?!

We also bought an extra base for the second vehicle.

Everything else that I bought was the items that matched the bedding we have already bought. There were a few blankets, a valance, 4 pack of receiving blankets, and a changing pad cover.
